Ard Rock Taster

Have you been lucky enough to get a ticket for one of the Ard Rock races? First time racing it? Unsure what it entails or what the riding is like or how to prep yourself and your bike?
Pop down to our local and we'll show you around!

Although we cant ride the actual Ard Rock stages, the majority of each stage is on private land, we can simulate the distance, climbing and descending, the only thing we cant replicate is the atmosphere !!
The session will either be a full morning or afternoon and can be ridden on an E or analogue bike, the loop will be approximately 35km with 850-1000m of ascent. It will start and finish in the centre of Reeth, some of the actual Ard Rock stages will be visible on the route to give a good representation of the steepness etc.
A full face helmet is recommended but not mandatory, the descents will mirror the technicality of the actual race, if you can ride a mildly technical red you'll be in your comfort zone. There will be an opportunity to ride Gunnerside which is a technical black.
Mixed ability groups of no more than six riders are welcome, if you are a novice rider please state this when booking.
The session will start and finish in the centre of Reeth, parking will be on the village green which can get busy during the summer months and at weekends. An email will be sent 24 hours prior to the session detailing any changes.
