Guided Rides

Ever wanted to explore the Yorkshire Dales? Heard so much about riding in the Tweed Valley but don't know where to start? Let us show you round, whether its a  loop around Gunnerside and Reeth or a day of descending at the Golfie or Glentress we've got you covered. All of our rides can be enjoyed on either an electric or analogue bike, our instructors will always tailor the ride to group fitness levels. Every session is completely bespoke and can be tailored to your requirements, whether that be a route deviation or if you want to ride a certain part of the loop more than once it can all be accommodated.

Yorkshire Dales - Swaledale - Harkerside Loop

A Swaledale classic riding area, it sits above the Dales Bike Centre and has some excellent descents. Starting in Grinton we pedal up to Greets hill where the first descent starts off with an open moorland sprint then dropping into a Rocky red graded blast through How Hush Gulley, a pedal up to Cogden Moor offers the chance to practice some steep technical descending skills. We then traverse back across and up to the top of Harkerside Moor where we will take on the famous Harker Top descent. After a pedal back to the top we will then finish off the ride with the best trail, High Harker Gulley, it starts with a blast through a technical and rocky steep sided gulley onto a fast and steep section all the way to the road back into Grinton (and the pub!). This ride can be completed in any conditions.

Yorkshire Dales - Swaledale - Gunnerside Loop

One of the most rugged and picturesque places in the Dales, however it isn't for the feint hearted rider. This loop is for the more experienced rider as it contains some steep technical black graded trails, Brunton, Friarfold and Gorton Hush. This loop can be started in a number of places, Langthwaite is a favourite finishing with a descent down the steep side of Calver Hill.

A mandatory skills assessment will take place prior to attempting the Gunnerside descents and can be adjusted to suit skill levels.

Yorkshire Dales - Swaledale - Ard Rock Taster

Want to do Ard Rock but the name and the horror stories putting you off ?

Let us show you its not as Ard as the name suggests, we'll take you around our own Ard Rock loop which will take in some of the best descents in Swaledale. We can't ride the actual stages as they are mostly on private land but we can simulate the climbing and descending pretty well! The only thing we can't simulate is the famous atmosphere!!

To attend this session you must be comfortable riding technical red graded descents confidently, a full face helmet, knee pads, gloves and eye protection is strongly recommended.

Tweed Valley

The mecca of mountain biking in the UK! Excellent drainage means we can ride here all year round, this place has it all! You can choose from marked red and black trails, some of which made famous by the Enduro World Series like New York New York, Feed the Pony and Big Baw to some lesser known off piste trails. These trails are enjoyed best on a long travel enduro bike, we recommend a full face helmet when riding the Golfie, Innerleithen DH trails or Glentress for the first time.
